WER Medical
Leading-edge solutions for wound care, lash extensions, and surgical fixation.
In the contemporary healthcare landscape, Medical Adhesive-Related Skin Injury (MARSI) has emerged as a critical concern for patient safety. From neonatal intensive care units to geriatric wards, the repeated application and removal of medical tapes, dressings, and sensors can lead to erythema, skin stripping, and tension blisters. As a leading manufacturer in China, we recognize that a Medical Adhesive Remover (MAR) is no longer a luxury—it is a clinical necessity.
This white paper explores the industrial landscape of medical adhesive removal, focusing on the transition from alcohol-based solvents to advanced silicone-based technologies. By leveraging China's robust manufacturing infrastructure, we provide global suppliers and hospital procurement teams with high-efficacy, non-sting solutions that meet the stringent FDA and CE MDR requirements.
Understanding why the world is turning to Chinese manufacturers for MAR solutions.
With a rise in chronic conditions like diabetes and venous ulcers, there is a surging need for frequent dressing changes in geriatric patients with fragile skin.
Health systems globally are adopting "Skin-Friendly" protocols to reduce the total cost of care by preventing secondary infections caused by MARSI.
B2B buyers are seeking "Direct-from-Factory" partnerships in China to mitigate shipping volatility and ensure a consistent supply of sterile medical consumables.
How silicone polymers are revolutionizing skin-adhesive interfaces.
Traditional removers relied on isopropyl alcohol, which can dehydrate skin and cause stinging in open wounds. Our new technical route utilizes hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDS) and other siloxane derivatives. These molecules have extremely low surface tension, allowing them to seep between the adhesive and the skin, breaking the bond without physical trauma.
We are currently researching Bio-based Solvents derived from sustainable sources to reduce the carbon footprint of medical manufacturing. Furthermore, integration with Smart Packaging that indicates sterility or shelf-life degradation is on our R&D horizon.

Expert insights into medical adhesive remover sourcing and application.
Silicone-based removers are "non-sting," making them ideal for sensitive skin and pediatric/geriatric care. Unlike alcohol, they do not dry out the stratum corneum, reducing the risk of skin tears and irritation during frequent dressing changes.
Most of our sterile-packed removers have a shelf life of 3 to 5 years, depending on the packaging format (wipes vs. spray). We use high-barrier materials to prevent the evaporation of active siloxanes.
Yes, we offer comprehensive OEM services including custom formulation, canister design, and box art. We currently supply private label solutions to major medical distributors in Europe and Southeast Asia.
Our Guangzhou facility is fully automated. Every batch undergoes rigorous testing for evaporation rate, adhesive solubility, and skin irritation levels in our in-house ISO-certified lab.
