Hydrocolloid wound dressing is a self-adhesive elastic wound dressing made of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), medical pressure-sensitive adhesive, and breathable PU film.

When in contact with exudate, hydrocolloids turn into a cohesive gel, preserving the wound's moist microenvironment and encouraging natural cleaning and healing processes. It can absorb 10 times its weight, making it ideal for low to moderate exudate wounds. It protects against bacteria and minimizes scarring.

The CMC component is hydrophilic, offering excellent absorption and exudate management. It provides moisture to hydrate necrotic tissue, improving debridement. The semi-permeable membrane allows oxygen exchange while preventing microorganism penetration, avoiding adhesion between the dressing and the wound.
