Silicone Foam Dressing is an absorbent, atraumatic dressing made from an absorbent core and silicone gel. The wound contact surface is coated with a layer of soft silicone gel that does not stick to the wound or cause trauma to delicate new tissue upon removal. The outer surface is bonded to a vapor-permeable polyurethane membrane, acting as a barrier to liquids and microorganisms.
Locks exudate into the core, preventing wound bed drying and surrounding skin maceration. Includes options with and without borders.
1. Ensure the wound area is clean and dry.
2. Select a dressing that overlaps the wound margin by at least 2cm.
3. Remove release film and apply to wound.
4. For non-bordered types, cut to size if needed before removing protective film.
Determined by exudate levels. The dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days, or changed according to standard wound care practices.
