WER Medical

The global Island Wound Dressing market is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by an aging global population and the rising prevalence of chronic conditions like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In North America and Europe, the demand for post-operative care and home health services has turned island dressings into a staple of clinical inventory. As an OEM/ODM Island Wound Dressing supplier, we recognize that procurement managers are no longer just looking for "bandages"—they are seeking integrated healing solutions that offer breathability, waterproofing, and high absorbency.
Industrial statistics indicate that the "island" configuration—an absorbent pad surrounded by an adhesive border—is preferred for its ability to create a moist wound healing environment. This prevents secondary infections and accelerates re-epithelialization. From large-scale hospital tenders in Brazil to retail pharmacy chains in the UK, the focus has shifted toward high-performance materials like medical-grade PU films and gentle silicone adhesives.
Dominating the surgical recovery sector, island dressings are vital for laparoscopy, orthopedics, and emergency medicine globally.
The move toward "Smart Dressings" with pH sensors and antimicrobial silver-impregnated cores is defining the next decade of wound care.
Global buyers are moving away from distributors toward direct China factory partnerships to secure supply chain stability and cost-efficiency.
Since 2018, WER Medical has specialized in advanced medical wound dressings, focusing on silicone foam variants. Our fully automated facilities meet strict FDA / CE MDR and ISO 13485 standards, ensuring top quality. We operate a 10,000㎡ cutting-edge plant in Guangzhou, plus a Shenzhen sales office.
Years of R&D in wound care have yielded world-leading products. Our core foaming technology enables safe, comfortable healing; imported raw materials secure quality from the source. With world-class intelligent production lines, the full process—foaming, gluing, punching, forming, packaging—delivers superior dressings.
We are committed to providing clients with top-quality products, fast delivery, and the most competitive prices. We believe medical technology enhances health, relieving patients from pain so all may equally enjoy life’s moments and a better life.
How our dressings perform in real-world clinical environments.
High-permeability PU film island dressings allow patients to shower post-op while maintaining a sterile environment for incisions.
Our soft silicone borders are designed specifically for fragile skin, reducing the risk of Medical Adhesive-Related Skin Injury (MARSI).
Flexible and stretchable materials ensure that dressings stay in place on joints during rehabilitation and movement.
As a leading China Wound Dressing Manufacturer, WER Medical bridges the gap between high technology and affordable healthcare. Our advantage lies in our Integrated Supply Chain. We don't just assemble; we innovate. By controlling the foaming process of silicone and the formulation of hydrocolloids, we provide OEM clients with bespoke solutions that meet the technical requirements of the EU MDR 2017/745 and US FDA regulations.
Furthermore, our location in the Pearl River Delta allows for rapid logistics, enabling us to serve major medical hubs across North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East with significantly shorter lead times than traditional Western manufacturers.
WER Medical is a trusted China-based company of high-quality medical supplies. As a medical dressing enterprise integrating R&D, production, and sales, we provide customers with comprehensive ODM services.
Professional grade materials designed for expedited healing and patient comfort.
We use semi-permeable Polyurethane (PU) film. It is 100% bacterial-proof and waterproof but allows water vapor (moisture) to escape at a controlled Rate (MVTR), preventing skin maceration.
Our non-adherent absorbent pads are composed of specialized fibers that lock in exudate. For infected wounds, we integrate Silver Alginate or Hydrocolloid layers to manage bacterial load and promote autolytic debridement.
From medical-grade acrylic for long-term wear to advanced soft silicone for painless removal, our adhesive technologies are hypoallergenic and biocompatible according to ISO 10993 standards.
